AORTIC SURGERY IN BOLOGNA FROM NEONATES TO ADULTS
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We are pleased to announce that, from 2026 onwards, the “BHSS – Bologna Heart Surgery Symposium” and the “STB – Summer Talks in Bologna on Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Surgery” will be held simultaneously at the same venue. This will create a unique opportunity for scientific exchange and collaboration at the highest level: “Aortic Surgery in Bologna – From Neonates to Adults.”
This initiative stems from the collaboration between the Departments of Adult Cardiac Surgery and Pediatric Congenital Adult Cardiac Surgery, with the goal of bringing together international experts in aortic and cardiovascular surgery.
The preliminary programs will be available soon, and registration will open shortly.

Bologna Heart Surgery Symposium BHSS and Summer Talks in Bologna on Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Surgery STB will be held simultaneously at the same venue:

Participants may choose to register for either the BHSS or the STB, or to attend both events.
HOW TO GET TO VENUE
BY PLANE
Several airlines connect Bologna with many Italian and international cities.
The International Airport “G. Marconi” is located just 7 km from the conference Venue, approximately 15 minutes by taxi.

The airport is also connected to Bologna Central Railway Station by the Marconi Express service, which takes about 7 minutes. Ticket prices: € 12,80 one way, € 23,30 round trip.
BY TRAIN
Bologna Central Station is one of the largest railway hubs in Italy and Europe. It is located just a few minutes from the Bologna Congress Center.
Buses:
· Line 35 and 38 connect the Station to the Venue (Fiera / Palazzo dei Congressi).
· Tickets: Single ticket € 2,30 (valid for 75 minutes), One-day ticket € 9,00 (valid for 24 hours).
· Tickets can be purchased on board by credit card at the same fare, or at automatic machines for € 3,50.
BY CAR
From motorways A1, A13, A14: take the Bologna ring road and exit n. 7 (Via Stalingrado) or Bologna Fiera towards the city centre.
Parking: Paid parking facilities are available near the Conference Venue. Multiple options are located within walking distance of the Bologna Congress Center.
ACCREDITATION
ECM and EBCP accreditation for the sessions dedicated to perfusionists on June 15 and 16 from 14:00 to 18:00.
VISA REQUEST
The Organizing Secretariat will be pleased to provide letters of invitation upon request, for participants who need them to apply for a VISA. Please contact info@noemacongressi.it
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
The official language is English.
CERTIFICATION OF ATTENDANCE
Certificates of Attendance will be sent by e-mail at the end of the Conference.
HOTEL RESERVATION
A number of rooms have been reserved for participants.
VIDEO SUBMISSION FOR BHSS AND STB
All registered participants are welcome to submit video presentations for the BHSS and STB sessions related to the congress topics.
The best videos will be selected for presentation in the Plenary Session, while the
remaining accepted videos will be screened in a dedicated Video Room.
Video submissions must comply with the following duration limits:
BHSS: maximum 3 minutes
STB: maximum 5 minutes
All videos must be sent via WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com) to the Organizing
Secretariat no later than April 15, 2026. Please clearly indicate the presenter’s full name (first and last name), hospital, city, country, phone number, and email address.
All presenters must be duly registered for the Conference.
